Francis Wilson Playhouse (FWP) is proud of its nearly 100-year history of providing quality Community Theater to the city of Clearwater and surrounding areas. Over the years our ticket prices have been kept at one of the lowest levels for a theater in Pinellas County through careful oversight and cost management by the FWP Board of Directors. We also rely heavily on Volunteers who give their time and talent as actors, ushers, concession workers, backstage crew, and in other areas which helps keep the cost of doing business low.

But ticket sales alone cannot do the entire job of maintaining both our historic theater building and the production costs associated with the shows within each season which includes royalty payments, costumes, set construction, sound and lighting tech support, etc. As a result, we must seek other sources of revenue such as sponsorships, grants, concession sales, advertising, and most importantly donations from patrons who enjoy attending our shows or those who do not attend but believe it is important to support the arts within their community.
